Jennifer Long de Herrera has been making art for as long as she can remember. She was greatly influenced by the art of her father, Noyes Capehart, and by the 8 years she spent living in the south of Mexico. A graduate of North Carolina School of the Arts and Appalachian State University who had formerly focused on printmaking, her palette was enhanced and brightened by the tropical sun. Though she and her family have returned to the United States to settle in North Georgia her art still reflects the color and patterns she experienced in Mexico. Jennifer’s wide eyed faces, swirls and birds, bright colors and intricate details invite the viewer to look again and again.
Jennifer enjoys working in many mediums in both 2 and 3 dimensions. Currently she is mainly painting with acrylic on wood and working in paper mache. She has exhibited in the United States and Mexico and has work in private collections in both countries.
